The Stork Nest Farm lacked the possibility of seasonal outdoor swimming for hotel guests. The new swimming pool is part of the hotel - for adult and children visitors, who also use recreational areas around the pools - stone paved walkways, wooden terraces with sun sunshades, loungers, whirlpool.
The area is composed of three elements - activity (two swimming pools), relaxation (terraces) and greenery (trees and shrubs), generating an enclosed intimate space on the Farm. To separate the pool from the toilets and changing facilities we used a stone wall at the head of the large swimming pool. The paving around the pools is made of natural stone in addition to wooden terraces with pergolas (nests) and garden furniture intended for sitting and relaxing. The pools are directly linked to a summer restaurant nearby to supply guests with refreshments.
Large swimming pool - approx. 15m x 5 m, depth 1,1m - 1,6 m
Children´s swimmining pool - approx. 5m x 5 m, depth 0,4m - 0,6 m
Whirlpool - diameter approx. 2,5m, 6-8 people
The pool technology is housed in a shaft under the stone pavement and wooden terraces.
