JOHN HUS AND PRAGUE UNIVERSITY

Short term exhibition

the Carolinum cloister (Charles University in Prague)

opened in April 2015

The exhibition presents the life of John Hus as a personality, his work and relationship with the University of Prague. It takes place in the historic Carolinum – a space so significant that it should not be sidelined by the exhibition. The panels are put along the walls to clear the view, the geometry of the panels responds to the geometry of the arched ceiling.

Graphics on panels are an important part of the exhibition. The motives help the visitor to visualize the historical atmosphere. Graphics are also presented using projections of images and videos on the walls. The purpose of using large graphics is trying to approach the topic Hus life and death, hence the atmosphere of the time in which he lived.
